Safeguarding Policy

1. Our Commitment

Ducella Labs is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child who attends our workshops and programs. The safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority.

2. Staff Vetting

All instructors who work directly with children have completed an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check before working with Ducella Labs.

4. Code of Conduct for Staff

• Never be alone with a single child without another adult present or visible
• Treat all children with respect, patience, and fairness
• Report any safeguarding concern immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Never share personal contact details with children

5. Reporting a Concern

If you have a safeguarding concern about a child's welfare, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Begard Mohammed, immediately at hello@ducellalabs.co.uk. If a child is in immediate danger, contact emergency services (999) or, for non-emergency concerns, your local authority's children's services.

6. Photography & Online Safety

Photo/video consent is collected explicitly and separately from other consents, and is never required to attend. We do not publish a child's full name alongside their photo without separate, explicit parental agreement.

7. Medical & Allergy Information

Medical and allergy information disclosed by parents is shared only with the instructors directly responsible for that child's session, and is used solely to ensure safe participation.
